ALASKA BIRDING TOURS & ADVENTURE VACATIONS
Put some adventure into your Alaskan vacation with Wilderness Birding Adventures by combining birdwatching and wildlife viewing with the best of Alaskan small-group travel.
Wilderness Birding Adventures is dedicated to exploring, conserving and sharing Alaska’s rich natural world with those who like to add a splash of adventure and spontaneity (balanced with careful planning and safety) to their vacation in the Great Land. Since 1986, we have been offering our guests the best in Alaska birding, rafting, sea kayaking, hiking and wildlife viewing trips from birding tours in the Pribilofs, Gambell and Nome, to wilderness expeditions like paddling the Kongakut and Canning rivers in Alaska’s Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and photographing Spectacled Eiders on the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta – to name just a few of the possibilities!
OUR GOAL, as Alaskans, is to provide deeply rewarding, safe and fun small-group adventures as we explore the far reaches of this amazing land.
OUR GUIDES are experienced naturalists who appreciate the land and enjoy sharing their knowledge with small groups of wilderness and wildlife enthusiasts.
OUR GUESTS are of all ages from all over the globe. They include both birders and non-birders who share an appetite for adventure and a desire to experience Alaska first-hand in all its magnificent grandeur and fascinating details – from the vastness of the arctic tundra landscapes, to the tiniest wildflower, lichen or insect, to the incredible variety of bird life.
OUR PARTNERS. Since 2004, we have proudly worked with The Nature Conservancy and the American Birding Association to offer trips to their memberships. We occasionally offer trips in collaboration with Audubon Alaska, nature centers and other organizations.
